I’ve been thinking about this for awhile. There are some actors that get tired of traveling and acting and I’ve always wanted to know, what happens to an actor who doesn’t act anymore?
I’ll tell you what they do…they direct. But are impressive actors, impressive directors? Who’s to say that they would? I wonder if actors turned directors have the overall design in mind or are they more concerned about what they would do if they were acting.
Someone who has no experience gets the job? Maybe it’s “being in the right place, at the right time.” Or maybe it’s just that people trust actors because of their stage work and think it will translate as a director.
How do you feel about that? Let me know.
