Circuiteers,
I’m very excited to be able to share that I will be one of the featured bloggers for the Goodman Theatre’s August Wilson Celebration!
I have a personal connection to Mr. Wilson. The world premiere of Mr. Wilson’s “Gem of the Ocean” was performed at the Goodman Theatre in 2003. This was my SECOND professional production on my arrival to Chicago. I was the Stage Management Intern. Mr. Chuck Smith asked me to participate after witnessing my hard work and dedication on the play, Playboy of the West Indies, he directed for Congo Square Theatre Company.
I was able to spend hours in rehearsal observing a master playwright and director, Marion McClinton where he helmed a cast of true titans! That cast and crew were magical. Thank you Paul Butler, Anthony Chisholm, Greta Oglesby, Peter Jay Fernandez, Kenny Leon, Yvette Ganier, & Raynor Scheine.
What a blessing to have worked on that show! What it has done to shape my career in the theater is beyond words! Join me and this wonderful team of brilliant women theater makers as we share our experiences to you! Want to keep up with what’s going on at the August Wilson celebration? Make sure to follow me on Twitter at @TOFUCHITLINS use #AUGUSTWILSONCHI to find the live tweets during the panel discussions. Don’t forget to spread love to the other Dream Team bloggers below!

Great reflection and sharing! I appreciate your efforts. Looking forward to seeing you again real soon.
Thank you for stopping by.
